I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
